Scope of This Policy

What This Policy Covers, and Who It's For

This Warranty & Coverage Policy applies to every smartphone, smart watch, headphone, earphone, and tablet purchased on eazyphones.com and delivered to an address in Canada or the United States — the only two countries we currently ship to. It sits alongside, and is separate from, our 30-day Returns & Refund Policy: that policy covers your right to send an item back for any reason shortly after delivery, while this policy covers defects that appear after that window, for as long as the applicable coverage period runs.

Nothing on this page limits any warranty right you already hold under Canadian federal or provincial law, or under U.S. federal or state law, that cannot be waived by agreement — see the Regulatory Basis section below for the specific statutes involved.

Coverage Period by Product Category

How Long Your Device Is Covered

Our standard coverage period is 12 months from the delivery date for every category we sell. Where a specific model carries a different manufacturer program — longer or shorter — the individual product page states that term, and the product-page term controls for that item. If a product page is silent on warranty length, the 12-month standard below applies.

Smartphones

12 months standard Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO, Samsung Galaxy, Sony Xperia, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Asus ROG, Nubia/ZTE, Nothing, Google Pixel, Honor, Motorola, Huawei

Smart Watches

12 months standard Samsung Galaxy Watch series — strap and band wear is treated as a consumable, not a defect

Headphones & Earphones

12 months standard OnePlus Buds and select true-wireless audio — see the hygiene-seal note under exclusions

Tablets

12 months standard Xiaomi Pad, Honor MagicPad, Redmagic, Samsung Galaxy Tab
Battery capacity: covered only if it falls below 80% of original capacity within 12 months under normal use Accessories (cables, chargers, cases): 90 days
Global Version & Import Disclosure

Why This Is a Seller Warranty, Not a Carrier Warranty

Many models we sell are internationally sourced "Global Version" or region-specific units, disclosed on the individual product page. Because these units are not purchased through the manufacturer's official North American retail or carrier channel, the manufacturer's own regional warranty program may not be honored at a local carrier store or official service center in Canada or the United States. To close that gap, Eazy Phones provides its own seller-backed warranty, described in full on this page, that we honor directly — you never need to rely on, or be turned away by, a manufacturer's regional service desk. Where a manufacturer does extend its own international warranty to a given model, that coverage applies in addition to, not instead of, ours.

Who honors the claim

Every claim is submitted to, inspected by, and resolved by Eazy Phones' own Ontario-based support desk — not a third-party carrier or an overseas call center.

Firmware & region notes

Global Version units ship with multi-region firmware. Region-locking or a carrier's inability to install a local SIM profile is a network-compatibility question, not a hardware defect, and is addressed separately in our FAQs.

Coverage Detail

What's Covered, and What Isn't

Eligibility is based on the cause of the fault, not the age of the device within the coverage window. We look at what actually happened to the unit before deciding whether it's a defect claim or an accidental-damage situation.

Covered

Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that appear under normal use — for example, a screen defect present from first use, a charging port that fails without impact damage, a swollen battery, or a speaker or microphone that stops working with no drop or liquid exposure involved.

Covered

Battery capacity that drops below 80% of original capacity within the first 12 months under normal charging habits, and ingress-protection failures that occur strictly within the manufacturer's stated IP test conditions for that model.

Not covered

Physical damage (cracked screens, dents, bent chassis), liquid or moisture damage outside the specific IP-rated test conditions stated in the product's user manual, and damage from unauthorized repair, disassembly, or use of non-original parts.

Not covered

Normal cosmetic wear (scuffs, scratches, fading), software issues not caused by a hardware fault, damage from third-party chargers or cables not rated for the device, and units with a removed hygiene seal on earphones or earbuds.

IP-rating claims are assessed against the exact conditions in the product manual, not general splash resistance Devices reported lost or stolen are not eligible under this policy
Filing a Claim

Four Steps From Fault to Fix

You don't need to create an account to start a claim — your order number and the email used at checkout are enough.

01

Contact support

Email support@eazyphones.com or call us with your order number, the issue, and when it started. A short video or photos speeds things up but is never required just to open the claim.

02

Troubleshooting check

Our support desk runs a brief diagnostic conversation with you to rule out a software fix before asking you to ship anything back.

03

Ship it in

If a hardware fault is likely, we email a prepaid shipping label to send the unit to our Ontario facility — you don't pay for return postage on an approved claim.

04

Inspect & resolve

Once received, we inspect the device within 3–5 business days and repair, replace, or refund it, whichever gets you back up and running fastest.

Claim Outcomes & Shipping

Repair, Replacement, or Refund — and Who Pays for Shipping

Repair

The most common outcome for an isolated component fault. Repaired units are tested and returned to you, typically within 5–10 business days of us receiving the item.

Replacement

Used when a repair isn't practical — for example, a confirmed manufacturing defect early in the coverage period. We send the same model and configuration where stock allows, or the closest current equivalent if it's been discontinued.

Refund

Offered when neither repair nor replacement is available. Refunds under this policy are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days, consistent with the timeline in our Returns & Refund Policy.

Outbound and return shipping on an approved warranty claim is covered by Eazy Phones at no cost to you. If an inspection finds the reported issue is excluded under this policy — accidental damage, for instance — we'll contact you with the finding and photos before doing anything further, and you may choose to have the unit returned to you at your own shipping cost or, where applicable, request a paid out-of-warranty repair quote.

Returns vs. Warranty

Which Policy Applies to Your Situation

These two policies solve different problems and are intentionally kept separate so neither one has to be stretched to cover the other.

Regulatory Basis

The Consumer-Protection Rules Behind This Policy

Because we ship only within Canada and the United States, this policy is written to meet the warranty-disclosure and fair-trading standards of both — not a template borrowed from a market we don't serve.

Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002

Sets disclosure and fair-dealing standards for internet sales agreements made with Ontario-based consumers, and forms the baseline this policy follows nationwide.

Provincial Sale of Goods Acts

Each Canadian province implies certain quality and fitness-for-purpose conditions into consumer sales contracts. Where a provincial statute grants stronger rights than this policy, the stronger provincial right applies.

Competition Act (Canada)

Prohibits false or misleading representations about warranty terms — the standard our coverage periods and exclusions on this page are written to meet.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (U.S.)

Sets federal requirements for how written consumer-product warranties must be disclosed in the United States, including that terms be presented clearly before purchase, as they are on this page.

State Consumer Protection & UCC Statutes (U.S.)

U.S. orders are additionally subject to the buyer's state consumer-protection statutes and that state's enactment of the Uniform Commercial Code, including implied warranties of merchantability that this policy does not limit.

FTC Act

Prohibits unfair or deceptive practices in commerce, including deceptive warranty claims — the standard our "covered" and "not covered" sections above are written to satisfy.

This section is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. Nothing in this policy limits any warranty right that applies to you by law and cannot be waived by agreement.
