This page explains exactly which cookies and similar technologies eazyphones.com sets, why each one exists, which third parties we allow to set their own, and how you can control every one of them from your own browser at any time.
What a Cookie Actually Is
A cookie is a small text file that eazyphones.com, or a service we've allowed onto our site, places on your device when you visit. It doesn't let us reach into your phone or computer and take files — it simply lets our site (or that service) recognize your browser on your next request, so the site can remember things like what's in your shopping cart or that you already answered our cookie banner. We also use two closely related technologies covered by this policy: local storage, which WooCommerce uses to hold your cart contents in the browser itself, and pixels/tags, which are tiny snippets of code (not files) that report back to an analytics or advertising provider when a page loads.
Session cookies
Deleted automatically when you close your browser. We use these mainly to keep checkout working correctly across pages of a single visit.
Persistent cookies
Stay on your device for a set period — from a few days to about two years, depending on the cookie — so the site can remember you on a return visit.
First-party cookies
Set directly by eazyphones.com. We control these ourselves, and they never leave WordPress/WooCommerce.
Third-party cookies
Set by an outside service we've chosen to work with — like an analytics or advertising partner — whose own privacy policy governs how it uses the data.
Why eazyphones.com Sets Cookies
Every cookie on our storefront exists to do one of four jobs. We don't set cookies for any purpose outside these four, and none of them are used to build a profile about you beyond what's described below.

Here is exactly how each category behaves, and whether the cookie banner on our site lets you turn it off. Strictly necessary cookies keep the store functional and can't be switched off through the banner — you can still block them yourself in your browser, but parts of the site (like checkout) will stop working correctly if you do.

Third-Party Services We Allow Onto the Site
We keep this list to the services we actually rely on to run the store, ship your order, and take payment — not a generic industry list. Each of these providers sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy once its code loads on our pages.
WordPress & WooCommerce
Our storefront itself runs on WordPress with WooCommerce, which sets the strictly necessary cart, session, and security-nonce cookies described above. These are first-party and never used for advertising.
Google Analytics
Measures how shoppers move through eazyphones.com in aggregate — which pages, which categories, which devices get browsed — so we know what to improve. Only active if you leave analytics cookies on.
Google Ads
Measures whether an ad we've paid for actually led to a purchase, and can show you a relevant ad for a device after you've viewed it. Only active if you leave advertising cookies on.
Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
Since we maintain a Facebook and Instagram presence, a Meta pixel may run on our pages to measure ad performance and show relevant ads to visitors who came from those platforms. Only active if you leave advertising cookies on.
PayPal
Sets its own cookies during checkout to process your payment securely and detect fraud. We never see or store your full card details — PayPal's cookie use is governed entirely by its own privacy policy.
Live chat / WhatsApp widget
The chat widget on our site may set a cookie so an in-progress conversation isn't lost if you navigate to another page. This is functional, not advertising.
We do not sell the information collected through these cookies. Where a provider above changes or is discontinued, we update this list rather than leaving it inaccurate.
How to Turn Cookies Off
You are always in control. Every optional cookie on our site can be switched off in three ways — through our on-site banner, through your browser, or through the ad networks' own opt-out tools.
Our cookie banner
On your first visit to eazyphones.com, a banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or choose by category. You can reopen it at any time from the link in our footer to change your mind.
Your browser settings
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies site-by-site or entirely: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
Advertising opt-outs
Opt out of interest-based ads industry-wide through the Digital Advertising Alliance in the U.S., the Ad Choices program in Canada, or Google's own Ads Settings.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site from working correctly — most commonly, items disappearing from your cart between pages, or checkout failing to complete. Blocking functional, analytics, or advertising cookies has no effect on your ability to browse or buy.
The Rules This Policy Is Built On
Eazy Phones ships only within Canada and the United States, so this policy is written to the laws of those two countries specifically — not a generic global template. Because our registered office is in Ontario, Canadian federal and provincial rules set our baseline; because roughly half our customers are American, we hold ourselves to applicable U.S. rules on top of that baseline for every order, regardless of which country the shopper is in.
PIPEDA
The federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act governs how we collect, use, and disclose personal information gathered through cookies, including your right to know what we hold and to withdraw consent.
CASL
Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation governs consent for any cookie-driven remarketing email or notification — we do not set marketing cookies tied to email without the consent CASL requires.
Quebec's Law 25
For visitors in Quebec, our cookie banner is built to meet Law 25's stricter opt-in consent standard: non-essential cookies stay off until you actively turn them on.
U.S. state privacy laws & the FTC
For American visitors, we honor applicable state consumer-privacy statutes governing cookie-based tracking and opt-out rights, and we follow the FTC's rules against deceptive or hidden data-collection practices.

Do-Not-Track and Children's Privacy
Do-Not-Track signals
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There's no single technical or legal standard yet for how sites must respond to it, so eazyphones.com does not currently alter its cookie behavior based on that signal alone — instead, use our cookie banner or your browser's own cookie controls, both of which we do honor fully.
Children's privacy
Eazy Phones sells to adult customers and does not knowingly set advertising or analytics cookies for visitors we know to be children. Our site is not directed at children, and checkout requires information (such as a valid payment method) that a child would not typically hold.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We review this page whenever we add or remove a cookie-setting service, and at minimum once a year. If we make a material change — such as adding a new advertising partner — we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, show the cookie banner again so you can confirm your choices. We encourage you to revisit this page occasionally, especially before a large purchase.
