This page explains exactly what emails Eazy Phones sends, why you're receiving them, how often to expect them, and how to stop at any time — written to meet Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and, for our U.S. subscribers, the CAN-SPAM Act.
We Only Email You With Your Consent
Every marketing email we send is backed by either your express consent or a form of implied consent recognized under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) — never a purchased list, never a pre-checked box. If you're in the United States, the same emails also meet the requirements of the CAN-SPAM Act. This isn't just a compliance checkbox for us: consent-based sending is also how we keep our emails out of your spam folder and worth opening.
Express consent
You've actively opted in — ticking an unchecked "Yes, email me about new products and offers" box at checkout or on a dedicated signup form. This is the clearest and longest-lasting form of consent, and it's what covers our regular marketing newsletter.
Implied consent
You have an existing business relationship with us — for example, you placed an order or made an inquiry within the timeframe recognized under CASL — which allows limited, order-related commercial messages even without a separate opt-in.
Three Kinds of Emails, Treated Differently
Not every email from us is "marketing," and CASL treats them differently. Here's how we separate the three.
Transactional
Directly tied to an order you placed — order confirmations, payment receipts, shipping and tracking updates, delivery confirmations, and return or refund status. These are sent to fulfil our contract with you and are not affected by your marketing subscription status.
Marketing
Newsletters, new product launches, seasonal promotions, discount codes, and sale announcements. Sent only with your express or implied consent, and every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
Notifications
Operational updates tied to something you specifically requested — a back-in-stock alert on a wishlisted device, a price-match request status update, or a policy-change notice. Triggered by your action, not a marketing calendar.
How Often We'll Actually Email You
We'd rather send fewer, more relevant emails than fill your inbox. Here's the realistic cadence for each type.
| Email type | Typical frequency |
|---|---|
| Transactional | As needed — one-to-one with your order events (confirmation, shipped, delivered, refunded) |
| Marketing | Roughly 2–4 emails per month, with occasional extra sends around major sales events such as Black Friday or a new product launch |
| Notifications | Only when the specific event you opted into occurs — for example, once when a wishlisted item is back in stock |
What Each Email Actually Contains
Transactional emails include
- Your order number and itemized products
- Shipping address and carrier tracking link
- Order total, including tax and duties already paid
- Return, refund, or price-match status updates
Marketing emails include
- New smartphone, smart watch, headphone, or tablet arrivals
- Seasonal promotions and discount codes
- Restock announcements for popular models
- A clearly identified sender name and mailing address, as required by CASL
Every commercial email we send identifies Eazy Phones as the sender, includes our registered mailing address, and provides a working contact method — consistent with CASL's identification requirements for commercial electronic messages.
Leaving Takes One Click, in Every Marketing Email
Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. It requires no login and no more effort than it took to sign up — exactly what CASL requires. You can also unsubscribe manually at any time.
One-click link
Click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any marketing email and you're immediately removed from future marketing sends — no account, password, or extra confirmation screen required.
Manual request
Prefer to email us directly? Send "unsubscribe" to support@eazyphones.com with the address you'd like removed, and we'll process it the same way.
The unsubscribe link in each email stays active for at least 60 days after it's sent, as CASL requires. Unsubscribing from marketing emails only affects marketing emails — transactional emails tied to an active order, and any notification you've separately opted into, will continue until you turn those off individually.
How a Subscription Actually Starts
Getting onto our marketing list is always a deliberate action on your part — never an assumption on ours.
You check the box
At checkout or on a standalone signup form, you tick an unchecked box that clearly states what you're agreeing to receive.
We record your consent
The date, time, and exact wording you agreed to are logged and kept on file, as CASL's record-keeping expectations require.
We may confirm your email
For standalone newsletter signups not tied to an order, we may send a short confirmation email to verify the address before adding it to marketing sends.
You start receiving emails
From this point, you'll receive marketing emails at the frequency described above — every one carrying an unsubscribe link.
Processed Within 10 Business Days — Usually Much Faster
Under CASL, a business has a maximum of 10 business days to give effect to an unsubscribe request. That's the ceiling we commit to, not our normal turnaround.
| Method | How it's processed |
|---|---|
| One-click unsubscribe link | Removes you from marketing sends immediately in almost every case, and no later than 10 business days |
| Manual email request | Processed by our support team within 10 business days of receipt, the maximum period allowed under CASL |
Because marketing emails are sometimes queued for delivery shortly before you unsubscribe, you may receive one email already in progress — no further marketing emails will follow once your request is processed.
Your Order Is Never Tied to Your Inbox Preferences
Ordering without subscribing
You can browse, check out, and buy a phone, smart watch, headphone, earphone, or tablet without ever subscribing to marketing emails. Subscribing is always optional and separate from checkout.
Unsubscribing without consequences
Opting out of marketing emails will never delay, cancel, or otherwise affect an order you've already placed, or the transactional emails that come with it — those keep arriving as needed regardless of your marketing status.
Why This Page Reads the Way It Does
We ship only within Canada and the United States, so our email practices are written to satisfy the anti-spam and marketing-consent standards that apply in both.
Consent records, email addresses, and unsubscribe status are handled under our Privacy Policy and are used only to manage your communication preferences and meet our record-keeping obligations under CASL.
