Your data.
Your devices.
Your rights, in plain English.
This Privacy Policy explains, in full and specific detail, what personal information Eazy Phones collects when you shop for smartphones, tablets, smart watches, or audio accessories at eazyphones.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights available to you as a customer in Canada or the United States.

We built this policy to be read and understood by an actual customer, not just a lawyer. Wherever a term like "personal information," "service provider," or "sale of data" has a specific legal meaning under Canadian or U.S. law, we explain what it means for your order in practical terms. If anything here is unclear, contact our support team directly using the details above and we will explain it further.
Information We Collect
We only collect information that is necessary to process your order, deliver your device, provide warranty support, and — where you have opted in — keep you informed about new products and promotions. We do not require you to create an account or hand over unnecessary personal details just to browse our catalogue.

Your opt-in or opt-out status for promotional email, and engagement data such as opens and clicks, used only if you have subscribed. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information strictly for the purposes below. Under Canadian law, this is what makes your consent "meaningful": we tell you exactly why we need each piece of information, at the time we ask for it.
- Order fulfillment and delivery. To confirm your order, calculate applicable Canadian sales tax (GST/HST/PST as required by your province), pre-pay import duties and brokerage fees under our Delivered Duty Paid model, generate shipping labels, and share tracking information with you.
- Customer support and warranty service. To respond to inquiries submitted by email, phone, or WhatsApp chat, process warranty claims using your device's IMEI or serial number, and handle returns under our Returns & Refund Policy.
- Account management. To let you log in, view order history, save shipping addresses, and manage your wishlist, if you choose to create an account.
- Payment processing and fraud prevention. To authorize and process payment through our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway, and to detect and prevent fraudulent transactions or chargebacks.
- Marketing communications. To send you product updates, promotions, or newsletters, but only where you have given express opt-in consent, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation and the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.
- Legal and regulatory compliance. To keep transaction records required under Canadian tax and consumer-protection law, respond to lawful requests from authorities, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Site performance and security. To monitor for technical errors, prevent abuse of our checkout system, and understand aggregate traffic patterns through analytics tools described in Section 5.
The Path Your Order Data Takes
A simplified view of where your information goes once you place an order — every stop is described in full in Section 3.
Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information, and we never rent or trade it to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We only disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients, each of whom is contractually required to protect it and use it solely to help us serve you.
Payment Processors
Encrypted, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways, including PayPal, process your transaction data to authorize and complete payment. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Shipping & Customs Carriers
DHL Express and FedEx receive your name, shipping address, and phone number to deliver your order and complete customs clearance, since duties are pre-paid under our DDP model.
Website & IT Service Providers
Our WordPress/WooCommerce hosting, security, and technical infrastructure providers process data as needed to keep eazyphones.com online, secure, and functioning correctly.
Analytics & Advertising Partners
Analytics and advertising cookies (see Section 5) may share limited technical and browsing data with third-party platforms to help us understand site usage and measure ad performance. You can opt out at any time.
Legal & Regulatory Authorities
We disclose information when required by Canadian or U.S. law, court order, or a valid legal request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Eazy Phones, our customers, or the public.
Professional Advisors
Our accountants, auditors, and legal counsel may access limited transaction records strictly to provide services to our business, under confidentiality obligations.
In the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We would notify affected customers by email or a notice on this page before any such transfer takes effect.
Meaningful Consent (Canada)
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial private-sector privacy laws (including Quebec's Law 25), we ensure your consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of personal information is meaningful. In practice, this means:
- We explain, in plain language, why we are collecting a piece of information at the moment we ask for it — for example, we ask for your address to ship your device, not for any unrelated purpose.
- We only collect what is reasonably necessary for the purpose identified, and we do not bundle unrelated consents together.
- You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting support@eazyphones.com, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and understanding that withdrawing certain consents (for example, for shipping data) may prevent us from completing your order.
- Quebec residents additionally have the right to data portability and to request that certain automated decision-making be explained, though Eazy Phones does not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about customers.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our storefront, remember your cart, and understand how visitors use our site. Here is exactly what each category does:
Essential Cookies
Required for core functions like your shopping cart, checkout session, and account login. These cannot be disabled without breaking site functionality.
Analytics Cookies
Help us understand which products and pages customers view most, so we can improve our catalogue and site performance. Data is viewed in aggregate.
Advertising Cookies
Used to measure the performance of our own product ads and, where enabled, to show you relevant Eazy Phones offers on other sites. You can opt out at any time.
You can manage or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings, or by using an available cookie-preference tool on our site if one is displayed. Disabling non-essential cookies will not prevent you from placing an order, but may reduce personalization. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals differently, because no common industry standard for interpreting them yet exists, though we honor opt-out preference signals where legally required, such as California's Global Privacy Control.
Data Retention & Security
6.1How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain order and transaction records for as long as required by Canadian tax and consumer-protection recordkeeping obligations (generally a minimum of six years), and warranty-related data for the duration of the applicable manufacturer or seller warranty plus a reasonable period afterward to handle any follow-up claims. Marketing contact information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Account data is retained until you close your account or request deletion, whichever comes first.
6.2How We Protect It
All data transmitted to and from eazyphones.com is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS. Payment data is handled by PCI-DSS compliant processors and is never stored in full on our own servers. Access to customer data within our business is limited to staff who need it to fulfill orders or provide support, and our website infrastructure is maintained with regular security updates.
6.3If a Breach Occurs
In the event of a data breach that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and affected individuals as required under PIPEDA's breach-reporting obligations, and we will notify affected U.S. customers in accordance with the applicable state breach-notification law of their state of residence.
Cross-Border Data Transfers
Because we ship to and serve customers in both Canada and the United States, and because some of our website, payment, and IT service providers operate infrastructure in the United States, your personal information may be stored or processed outside of the province or state in which you reside, including in the United States.
By using our Services or placing an order, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a jurisdiction with data-protection laws that may differ from those of your home province or state. We take contractual and technical steps to require any service provider handling your data, regardless of location, to protect it to a standard consistent with this Policy and applicable Canadian and U.S. law.
Your Privacy Rights — Canadian Customers
Under PIPEDA, and Quebec's Law 25 where applicable, Canadian customers have the following rights regarding their personal information held by Eazy Phones:
| Right | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Access | Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and how it has been used or disclosed. |
| Correction | Request that we correct or update inaccurate or outdated information, such as a shipping address or phone number. |
| Withdraw Consent | Withdraw consent for a specific use of your data at any time, understanding this may limit our ability to serve you. |
| Data Portability | Quebec residents may request that certain computerized personal information be provided to them in a structured format. |
| Complaint | File a complaint about our privacy practices with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec for Quebec residents, if you are not satisfied with our response. |
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer using the details in Section 12. We will respond within 30 days, as required under PIPEDA.
Your Privacy Rights — U.S. Customers
If you are a resident of a U.S. state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law — including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Florida, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Minnesota, and other states with similar laws in effect — you generally have the following rights with respect to the personal information we hold about you:
- Right to know / access. Request confirmation of whether we process your personal information, and access to the specific pieces and categories of information collected.
- Right to correct. Request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to delete. Request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions such as completing a transaction, providing warranty service, or complying with a legal obligation.
- Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing." As explained below, Eazy Phones does not sell personal information for money. Some U.S. state laws define "sale" or "sharing" broadly enough to include certain advertising cookies; you may opt out of these at any time through your cookie or browser settings.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
- Right to appeal. If we deny your request, California and several other state laws give you the right to appeal that decision by contacting us again with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line.
9.1California-Specific Disclosures
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), we confirm: Eazy Phones does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Certain advertising cookies described in Section 5 may meet the CCPA's broader definition of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising; you may opt out of this sharing at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences or contacting us at support@eazyphones.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." We do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of minors under 16. California residents may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on their behalf, subject to identity verification.
To exercise any U.S. state privacy right, contact us using the details in Section 12. We will verify your identity using the information associated with your order before fulfilling a request, and will respond within the timeframe required by your state's law (typically 45 days, extendable once by an additional 45 days where permitted).
Marketing Communications & Anti-Spam Compliance
We take a strict opt-in approach to marketing email, in compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act:
- We only send promotional or marketing emails to customers who have given express, opt-in consent, typically at checkout or through a newsletter sign-up.
- Every marketing email includes our business name and address and a clear, working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are processed within 10 business days, consistent with CASL requirements.
- Order confirmations, shipping notifications, and warranty or support correspondence are transactional messages, not marketing, and are sent regardless of marketing opt-in status because they are necessary to fulfill your order.
- We do not use false or misleading subject lines or sender information in any email, as required under CAN-SPAM.
Children's Privacy
Our Services are directed to adults and are not intended for children under the age of 13. In compliance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@eazyphones.com so we can address it.
Advertising Standards, Truthful Practices & Automated Decisions
All product listings, pricing, and shipping-time representations on eazyphones.com are maintained to be accurate and truthful, consistent with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's standards on truthful advertising and mail, internet, and telephone order merchandise, and Canadian consumer-protection law including the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002. Where estimated delivery windows are shown, they reflect our genuine current shipping performance and are updated when conditions change.
Eazy Phones does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about customers, such as automatically denying an order or altering pricing based on a profile. Order review and fraud checks may involve automated flags, but any resulting decision that affects your order is reviewed by a member of our support team on request.

13.1How This Fits With Our Other Policies
This Privacy Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service, Shipping Policy, and Returns & Refund Policy, which govern the contractual terms of your purchase. Where those policies describe a data collection or use not covered here, this Privacy Policy still governs how that data is protected.
