Every checkout, protected the same encrypted way.
This page lists exactly which payment methods we accept, how each transaction is encrypted and verified, and why Eazy Phones itself never sees or stores your full card number — from the moment you tap "Pay" to the moment your device ships.
Payment Methods We Accept
We accept the four major card networks plus two widely used digital wallets, on every order shipped to Canada or the United States. You'll see the same options at checkout regardless of order size.
What PCI DSS Compliance Means Here
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is the security framework every business that accepts card payments must follow. Here's specifically how it applies to an order placed on eazyphones.com:
We never see your full card number
Card fields at checkout are served directly by our PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment gateways. Your card number, expiry date, and CVV are transmitted straight to the gateway's secure servers and never pass through, or get stored on, Eazy Phones' own systems.
Reduced merchant scope (SAQ A)
Because card data never touches our infrastructure, our storefront qualifies for the simplest PCI DSS self-assessment category, SAQ A, which applies to merchants who fully outsource cardholder-data handling to compliant third parties.
256-bit TLS encryption
Every page of checkout, not just the payment field, is served over TLS 1.2+ encryption, so information in transit between your browser and our servers cannot be read if intercepted.
Tokenization on repeat purchases
If you save a payment method for faster checkout, your gateway stores an encrypted token in place of your real card number — a token is useless to anyone who doesn't hold the gateway's decryption keys.
PCI DSS certification is issued to and maintained by our payment gateway providers, not by Eazy Phones directly. This section describes how their compliance protects your data when you check out on our site.
From Checkout to Confirmation
Here's the actual path your payment takes on a typical order:
You enter payment details
Card fields, PayPal, and Google Pay are all rendered by the payment provider directly, inside an encrypted, isolated frame — not by our storefront code.
The gateway authorizes it
Your card issuer or wallet provider checks funds, and runs Address Verification (AVS) and CVV matching against the billing details you entered.
We receive a result, not your card
Eazy Phones receives only an approval code and the last four digits of your card for your order record — never the full number, expiry, or CVV.
Your order confirms
A confirmation email is sent, and your device begins processing for dispatch under our Shipping Policy.
PayPal & Google Pay Work a Little Differently
PayPal
When you choose PayPal, you're redirected to log in and approve payment on PayPal's own site. Eazy Phones never receives your PayPal password or linked card/bank details — only a payment confirmation and the email address on your PayPal account. Any PayPal Buyer Protection rights you have remain fully available to you.
Google Pay
Google Pay uses device-level tokenization: your phone or browser generates a one-time encrypted token for each transaction instead of transmitting your actual card number. Even if that token were intercepted, it cannot be reused for another purchase.
Currency, Charges & What Shows on Your Card Statement
| Item | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Charge currency | Prices are displayed and charged in the currency shown at checkout — the amount you approve is the final amount charged, no separate conversion added afterward. |
| Sales tax | Applicable Canadian sales tax (HST/GST) is calculated by province and included in the checkout total before you pay. |
| Duties & brokerage | Every order ships Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) — import duties and brokerage fees are pre-paid by us and built into your checkout price, so nothing is collected on delivery. |
| Statement descriptor | Charges appear on your card or PayPal statement under the Eazy Phones or payment processor name — never under an unrelated or unfamiliar business name. |
| Number of charges | One charge per order at the time of purchase. We do not split a single order into multiple charges or bill again after dispatch. |
Declines, Verification Holds & Fraud Prevention
Why a card might be declined
Declines almost always originate with your card issuer, not us — common causes are insufficient funds, an incorrect billing ZIP/postal code, a bank's international-transaction block, or a CVV mismatch. We recommend contacting your card issuer first if a payment repeatedly fails.
Verification holds on higher-value orders
Because we sell factory-sealed smartphones and tablets, some orders are automatically screened for fraud indicators (mismatched billing/shipping details, unusually large quantities). If your order is held, we'll contact you directly by email or phone before it ships — never after.
What we may ask for
In rare cases we may ask for a government-issued photo ID or a photo of the card used, matched against your billing name, solely to confirm the cardholder authorized the purchase. This information is used only for that verification and is not retained longer than necessary.
Order cancellations for failed verification
If we can't verify a flagged order within a reasonable time, we'll cancel it and issue a full refund to the original payment method — you will never be charged for an order we were unable to verify and ship.
Refunds Always Return to the Original Payment Method
Whether you paid by card, PayPal, or Google Pay, any refund is credited back to that exact payment method — we cannot issue a refund to a different card or as store credit unless you request store credit specifically. Card refunds may take an additional 3–5 business days to appear on your statement after we release them, which is standard for the card networks operating in both Canada and the United States. Full return and refund timelines are set out in our Returns & Refund Policy.
The Rules This Page Is Written To Satisfy
Because we ship only within Canada and the United States, our payment practices are built to meet the security and disclosure standards of both.
This page is a transparency summary and is not legal advice. For the binding terms that govern your order and payment, refer to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Talk to Us Before You Dispute a Charge
Most billing questions are resolved faster by contacting us directly than by starting a formal dispute with your bank or PayPal — we can see the order and payment record immediately.
