Global Version Product Disclaimer & Compatibility | Eazy Phones

Global Version devices,
explained before you buy —
not after.

Almost everything Eazy Phones sells is an internationally sourced "Global Version" device. This page explains exactly what that means for network compatibility, software, warranty, and what's in the box — for every phone, smart watch, earbud, and tablet in our catalogue — so there are no surprises at checkout.

The Core Definition

What "Global Version" Means on Our Listings

Every product on eazyphones.com that carries the words "Global Version" in its title is a new, factory-sealed unit manufactured for international markets outside North America, imported and resold by us as new — not a device originally built or branded for a Canadian or U.S. carrier. It ships with multi-region firmware, standard in-box accessories, and international warranty documentation. It is not a refurbished, used, or reconditioned unit, and it is not a grey-market clone. Where we carry a second listing for the same phone explicitly marked "CN Version" (a variant built for the mainland China market), that is a materially different product from the Global Version — see the regional variants section below before choosing between the two.

Read Before You Buy

Network & Carrier Compatibility

Every Global Version phone we sell is factory-unlocked and dual-SIM capable, and supports 5G. What we cannot guarantee is that every 5G/LTE frequency band your specific Canadian or U.S. carrier uses is present on every model — band support is set by the manufacturer per region and varies by device. The same applies to VoLTE (voice calling over 4G/5G), Wi-Fi Calling, and MMS: these depend on both the phone's regional radio configuration and whether your carrier has approved that specific international model on its network, which is why our own product specification tables list these as carrier-dependent rather than guaranteed.

Before you order: we strongly recommend confirming with your carrier that the exact model and region variant you're buying supports the bands, VoLTE, and Wi-Fi Calling you need — particularly for 5G Ultra Wideband/mmWave coverage, which most Global Version phones do not include, and for eSIM, which only select listed models support (see below). This confirmation step is on the buyer; it is not something we can verify on your behalf, since carrier network approval lists change independently of our catalogue.

Applies Specifically to Huawei Devices

Google Mobile Services on Huawei Models

This is the single most important compatibility note on this page, and we state it plainly: current Global Version Huawei devices we sell — including the HUAWEI Pura 90s Pro and Pura 90s Pro Max — ship with Huawei's own HarmonyOS or EMUI-based software and do not come preinstalled with Google Mobile Services, meaning no Google Play Store, Gmail, Google Maps, or other Google apps out of the box. This is a manufacturer-level restriction that applies to Huawei's international shipments generally, not a limitation specific to our stock, and we do not sell a workaround, sideloading service, or warranty coverage for adding Google services after purchase. If Google Play Store access matters to you, a Huawei device from our catalogue is not the right fit — every other brand we carry (Xiaomi, Samsung, Sony, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Asus, Nubia/ZTE, Nothing, Google, Honor, Motorola) ships with standard Google Mobile Services included.

Packaging & Accessories

What's Actually in the Box

Box contents are set by the manufacturer and vary by model, so we list the exact contents on every individual product page rather than a single blanket claim here. As a general pattern across most current Global Version smartphones we carry: the box includes the device, a USB Type-C charging cable, a SIM eject tool, a protective case, a quick start guide, and a warranty card. A number of current-generation models do not include a wall power adapter/charging brick in the box — this is a manufacturer packaging decision made across their global lineup, not something we remove — so you may need your own USB-C power adapter to charge the device out of the box. Always check the "In The Box" section on the specific product page before ordering if included accessories are important to your purchase.

Choosing the Right Listing

Global Version vs. CN Version

For a small number of models — currently certain Xiaomi 17 Ultra listings — we carry both a Global Version and a separately listed CN Version of the same phone. These are not the same product. The CN Version is built for the mainland China market: it typically ships with Chinese-region firmware and language defaults, may lack Google Mobile Services out of the box, uses a different regional app store, and is not covered by the same warranty terms as our Global Version stock. Each listing states which version it is in the product title; please confirm you are ordering the version you intend before checkout, as this affects both software behaviour and warranty eligibility once the order ships.

Warranty on Global Version Devices

Devices sold through eazyphones.com carry a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects, serviced through Eazy Phones directly rather than through a Canadian or U.S. carrier's in-store repair desk — because these are internationally sourced units, local carrier stores and some manufacturer walk-in service centers may decline to service them, since their systems are built around region-specific warranty registration. To make a warranty claim, contact our support desk directly using the details below; we will guide you through the process rather than redirecting you to a third party. Full terms, exclusions, and the claims process are set out in our Returns & Refund Policy.

Quick Reference

Four Things to Confirm Before You Order

  • 1

Network bands. Check with your carrier that the specific model supports the 5G/LTE bands, VoLTE, and Wi-Fi Calling you rely on in your area.

  • 2

Google Mobile Services. If you're considering a Huawei model, confirm you're comfortable using it without Google Play Store, Gmail, or Google Maps preinstalled.

  • 3

Version listing. Where both Global Version and CN Version exist for a model, make sure the listing you're adding to cart matches what you intend to buy.

  • 4

In-box accessories. Check the product page's "In The Box" section — a wall power adapter is not included with every current model.

Still Not Sure?

Ask Us Before You Order

If you're unsure whether a specific model will work on your carrier, or which version of a listing to choose, our own Ontario-based support desk can help you check before you buy — not just after something goes wrong.
