We want to inform you about an important update affecting all orders shipped from Canada to the United States.
What Has Changed?
As of August 29, 2025, the U.S. government officially ended the $800 de minimis exemption.
Previously:
U.S. buyers could receive international packages valued under $800 USD duty-free.
Now:
Every shipment entering the United States — regardless of its value — is subject to U.S. import duties and taxes.
This policy change is part of the new U.S. tariff regulations that impact all international retailers, not just Eazy Phones.
Our New Checkout Policy (Effective September 20, 2025)
At Eazy Phones, we’re committed to keeping your buying experience smooth and transparent.
Here’s how we’re adapting:
-
We will continue to ship all smartphones and devices to the U.S. via FedEx.
-
During checkout, Eazy Phones will automatically calculate and collect the applicable U.S. import duties/tariffs.
-
These fees will be paid directly to U.S. Customs on your behalf if tariffs are applied.
-
If no duties are charged to our account within 90 days, we will refund the full amount of the collected duty back to you.
-
You will not receive any duty bill from FedEx at delivery for orders placed after this change—Eazy Phones will handle any customs fees directly.
Why This Matters
This update ensures no surprises at delivery and keeps the import process clear and predictable.
Our goal is to make international shopping with Eazy Phones as easy and hassle-free as possible, even with new trade policies in place.
